3. Display system
The calculator displays the result from calculation (x) with floating point if it is in
the range 0.000000001 ≤ x ≤ 9999999999, otherwise the calculator displays x
in scientific notation. It is still possible to display numbers in the range above in
scientific notation by pressing the
[F↔E]
key.
E.g.
[2ndF][TAB][9]
(displays 9 decimals after decimal point)
[.][5][÷][9][=]
(displays 0.055555556, tenth decimal rounded)
[F↔E]
(displays 5.5555555-02, tenth decimal of mantissa rounded)
[F↔E]
(displays 0.055555556, tenth decimal rounded)
[2ndF][TAB][.]
(displays 0.055555555)
The calculator calculates this in format 5.55555555556x10
-2
. By rounding the
11th digit in the mantissa, the number will be 5.55555555556x10
-2
. Rounded
parts may not be displayed as in this example when you shift between floating
decimal point and scientific notation.
Battery change
If the display turns dark or weak, change batteries according to the following.
Type of battery: 2 batteries. L1131 or /LR1130 / SR54 / AG10.
