Operating instructions
Note:
• Only use appropriately sized bread slices. Never attempt to toast bread with any
kind of filling, bread which crumbles when handled or any other kind of bread
which is likely to get stuck inside the toaster.
• The first time you use the toaster you might detect a smell emitted by the heating
element. This odour is normal and will soon disappear. You can try operating
the toaster a couple of times without any bread in it.
Toasting
1. Plug the mains lead into an earthed wall socket.
2. Insert the slices of bread into the toasting slots.
3. Set the browning control to level 3 or 4.
4. Lower the toasting lever. The bread will automatically be centred in the slots.
Note:
The toasting lever will not lock into place unless the toaster is plugged into
a power point.
5. When the bread has been toasted, it will pop up automatically and the toasting
lever will return to the starting position.
Note:
The top of the toaster can become very hot.
6. The browning control can be adjusted as desired. Do not adjust the browning
control whilst toasting is in progress. Press [ STOP ] and then turn the browning
control knob. Then resume toasting with the new setting.
