This unit can be used to test the quality of brake 
fl uid. It can indicate whether the brake fl uid 
under test can still be used safely or needs to 
be replaced. It is a very useful tool for ensuring 
good braking eff ect and driving safely. 

Before use, you sould perform adjustment to the 
unit. The adjustment procedure is : 

1 - Turn the test rod to make it stand up.

2 -  Clean the test head and make it dry

NB : The test head consists of the two electric 
poles and the short cylinder connecting with the 
two electric poles.

3 -  Insert the test head into the new brake oil 

about 2cm deep, or expose the test head in 
dry air directly. 

NB : If you choose to use the new brake oil for 
unit adjustment, this brake oil must be the same 
type as the brake oil you want to test later.

4. 

 

Press and hold down the "ON" button, 
wait about 3 seconds, then use a suitable 
screwdriver to adjust the adjustor. When the 
fi rst green LED just lights and the other LEDs 
are off , stop adjusting the adjustor. Now the 
unit is ready to test.

NB : Don’t release the "ON" button until the 
adjustment is fi nished. 

NOTE : 

1.  

If LED (or LEDs) fl ashes or the buzzer 
sounds when you press and hold down the 
"ON" button with nothing being tested, the 
battery is exhausted and should be replaced.

To replaced the battery, slide out the battery 
cover, replace the exhausted battery with 
a new one of the same type (9V, 6F22 or 
equivalent). Reinstall the battery cover. 

2.  Each time before test, make adjustment to the 

unit. 

3.  Do not use the unit if it’s damaged or has 

malfunction.

  

1. Clean the test head (including two poles) and 
make it dry.

2. Insert the test head into the brake oil to be 
tested about 2cm deep.

3. Press and hold down the "ON" button, wait 
about 3 seconds, then read the LED indication :

a - If the two green LEDs light, the quality of 
the brake oil is good.
b - If the yellow LED lights, the quality of the 
brake oil is bad.
c - If the red LED lights and the built-in 
buzzer sounds, the quality of the brake oil is 
unsafe to use.
