FOOT PEDAL TROLLEY JACK 3T
MAINTENANCE
TROUBLESHOOTINGS
When the jack is not in use, the lifting arm should be in the lowest position and the handle in an
upright position to protect against damage.
The jack should be stored in a horizontal position and in a dry place. Make sure the jack is kept in
its original condition. Do not make any modifications to the unit.
Use only SAE10 (SAE: Society of Automotive Engineers) grade special hydraulic oil for the pump.
Dispose of all used and spilled oil properly.
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the jack. All external moving parts such as ball bearings,
lift arm mounting bolts, lift arm cylinder mounting bolts and pump mounting bolts should be well
lubricated regularly every 3 months.
IMPORTANT: Never lubricate or grease the pump and lift cylinder rods.
All maintenance and repair work must be performed by qualified personnel and in accordance
with the manufacturer's instructions.
Caution: Do not use the jack if any parts are missing, loose or broken!
NOTE: The following instructions should not be performed while the jack is in use.
NOTE: The jack is equipped with a safety valve. It has been configured to allow the jack to lift loads
up to 3 tons. The safety valve must not be modified or adjusted in any way!
Problem 1: The lift arm does not lift when pumping under load.
- Check that the drain valve is completely closed. Close it by turning the handle clockwise.
- Check oil level by placing vehicle jack in horizontal position.
- Not enough oil. Top up hydraulic oil and bleed hydraulic system.
Problem 2: Lift arm sinks under load.
- Follow the instructions provided for "Problem 1". If this does not eliminate the problem, the jack
must be repaired by an authorized repairman.
Problem 3: The lift arm cannot be lowered.
- The lift arm tension spring has come loose or broken. Reconnect the spring or replace the broken
spring with an equivalent new spring.
- The jack probably needs lubrication. All moving parts should be cleaned and lubricated or greased.
IMPORTANT: The pumping and lifting cylinder rods should never be lubricated or greased.
- Too much oil in the hydraulic system. Unscrew the drain valve and drain the excess oil - see also
"Filling the Hydraulic Oil" and "Draining" sections.
