What is MP3?
MP3 is an audio compression mode using Level 3 of the
international MPEG standards. The sound signal is com-
pressed to a level of 12:1. An MP3 disc can comprise
600 minutes of music or more than 170 tracks.
Supported Formats
• CD/DVD format: ISO 9660, Joliet
• Music
fi le format: MP3
• MP3 bit rate (data rate): 32 - 192 kbps
• Total number of music fi les and albums: approx. 350
per CD/DVD.
Note: Under the following conditions the device does
not recognise or play back MP3‘s: the format is not
supported, the CD/DVD is scratched or deformed, MP3‘s
written on CD-R or CD-RW discs and not fi nalised.
When an MP3 CD/DVD is loaded the following appear on
the screen:

playing.

Press “Select” to play the fi le selected with the cursor.

Note: Forward and reverse scanning is not possible
during MP3 playback.
JPEG FILES
JPEG is the most common format standard for compres-
sing fi xed-image fi les.
Even if the images are compressed 15-20 times, their
quality is still good. Almost all image processing software
programs support JPEG. It is the ideal format for image
storage and very user-friendly. This device can read
Picture-CD fi les produced in JPEG format.
1. Once the disc has been inserted, the search for disc
information is started.
2. Then a slide show begins automatically.
Selection via Menu
1. If the STOP button is pressed the main menu ap-
pears on the screen.
2. With the help of the direction keys and the ENTER
key you can select the picture with which the slide
show is to begin.
3. With the PAUSE button the slide show can be inter-
rupted. You can then move one picture forwards or
backwards by pressing NEXT or PREV.
4. In pause mode you can rotate a picture with the
ANGLE button.
5. The slide show ends automatically with the last pictu-
re.
