Overview of the Components

Putting into operation
1. Place the device on a fi rm and fl at surface. Position it is such that it cannot tip
over.
2. Ensure that the rotary switch (10) is in the „0“ position and that the mains lead
is not in the socket.
3. Check the decanter. The screw top (7), the knife block (6), sealing ring (5) and
the safety ring (4) have to be installed in the correct order (from 7 to 4), see
„Overview of Components“. Please ensure that the closed side of the safety
ring (4) is facing the carafe and that the screw top is tightly closed. Do
not
forget to insert the sealing ring as otherwise the carafe will leak.
4. Place the carafe on the motor housing (9). The carafe must be positioned in
such a way that the safety ring is in contact with the safety switch (8).
5. Connect the mains lead to a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety power
socket.
6. Cut the food to be mixed into small pieces.
7. Transfer the ingredients to the carafe and put the lid in position. The lid must
be positioned fi rmly. Please hold the carafe fi rmly during mixing.
8. For constant mixing (continuous mode):
When operating in levels 1 or 2 snap the selector into the desired position:
Level 1 = low rpm
Level 2 = high rpm
Shift the selector to „0“ to switch off the appliance.
9. For pulse mode (mixing at brief intervals) shift the switch to „0“ position. The
switch snaps into place. The appliance is off now. Turn the switch now to posi-
tion „M“. The switch must be kept in this position for the desired interval. When
the switch is released, it returns automatically to „0“ position.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Citrus juices and food containing acids should never be stored in metal vessels.
