Complete these steps to attach the lower edge of the
curtain to the customer-supplied baseboard.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to attach the curtain to the
baseboard during stormy or windy conditions or when
such conditions are expected.
Using the supplied-crank handle, roll the curtain panel
1.
up to within 2" of where it will seat into the channel
created by the two-piece ribbon board.
INSTALL THE DROP-DOWN CURTAIN (continued)
Move to the bottom of the panel and with assistance,
2.
evenly stretch the panel end-to-end along the
baseboard.
Take the first section of customer-supplied retaining
3.
board and place it against the curtain and the
baseboard to hold the curtain in position.
NOTE:
Evenly and gently pull the curtain edge down
to remove wrinkles.
Applying too much force will bend
the curtain conduit and may stretch the cord.
Using the supplied FA4652 fasteners, secure the
4.
retaining board to the baseboard as shown.
Repeat the steps to secure the remaining lower edge
5.
of the curtain to the baseboard along the side.
Return to the gearbox and check the operation of
6.
the drop-down curtain panel using the crank handle.
Adjust cords as needed for a level curtain.
Repeat the steps to attach the remaining curtain to the
7.
other side of the building.

INSTALL THE ANTI-BILLOW ROPES
The anti-billow rope is installed along the outside of the
frame and stretches between the ribbon board and the
baseboard. When installed correctly, the anti-billow rope
helps keep the drop-down curtain in place when it is
fully or partially closed. Use the diagram as a guide and
complete the steps to install the anti-billow rope.
Beginning at
1.
one end rafter
, take two (2) eye screws
(FA2155) and attach one to the baseboard and one to
the ribbon board. Align the FA2155 eye screws with
each other. See circles below.
Using the sample diagrams as guides, move to the
2.
next rafter and attach the eye screw to either the
baseboard or the ribbon board, depending on the
desired pattern.
Continue installing the eye screws until reaching the
3.
other end rafter and finish the installation by repeating
Step 1.
Take one end of the bulk roll of rope, thread it through
4.
the eye screws, and secure the end to an eye screw.
Move to the other end of the rope, pull to remove
5.
slack, and cut to length. Tie the end to the eye screw.
Test the curtain operation and adjust rope if it
6.
interferes with the curtain.
Repeat for the remaining drop-down curtain.
7.
