Q Series Full Modulation
If an obvious condition is not apparent, check the continuity of each circuit with a voltmeter or test lamp. Each
circuit can be checked and the fault isolated and corrected. In most cases, circuit-checking can be accomplished
between appropriate terminal on the terminal boards in the control cabinet or entrance box. Refer to the wiring
schematic supplied for terminal identification.
Never attempt to circumvent any of the safety features.
6.2 — Emergency Shutdown
In case of emergency, shut down the burner by turning the ON-OFF switch to the “OFF” position. Shut off the gas
train’s main manual shut off valves. The unit can also be shut down with the main electrical power disconnect.
Inspect the burner carefully and troubleshoot before re-starting the unit. Follow instructions in Chapter 3 for
starting and operating.
The cause for loss of flame or any other unusual condition should be investigated and corrected before attempting to
restart. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury or death.
Do not repeat unsuccessful lighting attempts without rechecking the burner adjustments. Damage to the boiler or
serious personal injury or death may result.
Do not attempt to start the main burner if the combustion chamber is hot and/or if gas is present in the furnace or
flue passages. Promptly correct any conditions causing leakage. Failure to follow these instructions could result in
serious personal injury or death.
