Water Quality Standards
Clean water is essential to the performance and life span of water source heat pumps.
Contaminants, chemicals, and minerals all have the potential to cause damage to the
water heat exchanger if not treated properly. All closed water loop systems should
undergo water quality testing and be maintained to the water quality standards listed in
this table.
