can be scrolled quickly. Press [
EXIT
] to select the highlighted ID and return to the main screen.
2.4.3
Deleting an ID
From the main screen, press [
SITE
] and then scroll to the desired ID. Press [
ERASE
] then [
YES
]
to erase the highlighted ID and return to the site screen.
2.5
Setting the UNIT ID
The CI-90A Unit ID can be assigned a 1 to 6 character identification which will appear on all
label printouts. To create the Unit ID, press [
MORE
] and observe the following screen appears:

To enter the desired name, use the left/right/up/down arrows to navigate the cursor to the desired
character. Press [
NEXT
] to enter the character where the blinking underscore currently is in the
unit name. Continue this until the complete unit name has been entered. The [
SPACE
] key can be
used to enter a space character into the unit name. The [
BACK
] key will move the “blink” in the
unit name to the left 1 character (with wraparound), but will not erase any character it was
blinking. This is convenient for going back to edit characters. When finished, press [
EXIT
] to
return to the MORE screen. All IDs created in this manner have a default preset volume of INF.
2.6
Printing Labels
2.6.1
The paper
The CI-90A printer uses custom label paper available from CLiMET. There are 500 labels per
paper roll. Each label is 5/8” x 2” with self-adhesive backing. The rolls are approximately 2” in
diameter to make efficient use of the CI-90A’s internal paper compartment. The standard labels
have a 1” inside diameter plastic core. Paper rolls have labels which are separated from each
other by a perforation for easy removal. There are also black stripes equally spaced on the under
side of the paper which the printer’s optical sensor uses to align the printhead to the start of the
printable area of the label.
