FRONT HUB INSTALLATION
WARNING
• If at any point in this procedure the hydraulic system is opened, the brakes must be bled after the
correct reinstallation of the brake components. Failure to bleed the brakes could result in decreased
braking performance due to air being trapped in the hydraulic system. Use only DOT 5 brake fluid.
1.
Install new bearing into upright.
1.1.
Position the upright (5) on 2 x 2-inch, or larger, steel blocks (1) as shown
1.2.
Position a new bearing (7) into the bearing cavity of the upright.
1.3.
Use a bar or rod (8) slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the bearing, but large enough to engage
the outside bearing race, to press the bearing into the bearing cavity until it bottoms out.

CAUTION
• Press against the entire bearing surface.
• Bearing must seat completely in cavity. There should be no gap between the bearing and the lip of the
upright. The bearing should be flush with the non-lip side of the upright.

Press hub into bearing.
2.1.
Position the hub (6) onto a 2 x 2-inch, or larger, steel block as shown
.

CAUTION
• Do not press against the lug bolts. Press only against the center of the hub.
2.2.
Apply anti-seize compound to the hub shaft.
2.3.
Position the upright (5) and bearing (7) onto the shaft of the hub as level as possible.
