WARNING
• Hot! Do not touch hot surfaces or boiling water. Contact with hot surfaces or boiling water will result
in severe burns. Allow hot surfaces to cool adequately before touching them.
6.8.
The multimeter should indicate continuity between the housing and the white wire when the thermostat
switch is submerged in boiling water. If the multimeter does not indicate continuity, the thermostat switch
has failed and must be replaced. Discard the failed thermostat switch and install a new one.

6.9.
Turn off the stove.

TEST PROCEDURE 11 – Fan Motor
See General Warnings, Section 1, Page 1-2.
The fan relay activates the radiator fan when the engine coolant reaches a temperature range of 187 °F to 198 °F
(86 °C to 92 °C) and closes the fan thermostat switch.
Fan Motor
1.
Disable the vehicle.
See Disabling the Vehicle on page 1-3.
2.
Disconnect the two-pin connector from the thermostat switch
and install a jumper
wire between the frame and the 18-gauge yellow/black wire in the connector.
3.
With the Forward/Reverse handle still in the NEUTRAL position, turn the key switch to the ON position. The fan
motor should run. If not, test voltage to fan motor.
