13. Tighten the oil filter by hand until tight. Do not use a band wrench or channel lock plier to tighten.
14. Lower the vehicle and remove the floor jack from under the rear of the vehicle.
15. Remove the dipstick and add engine oil into the dipstick port. Use a funnel or pour spout to direct the oil
into the dipstick port (Figure 25). With filter change, the engine requires 38 ounces (1.12 liters) of oil per
change. Refer to oil viscosity guidelines for selection of oil grade (Figure 26). Replace the dipstick.
16. Connect the battery cables, positive (+) cable first, and tighten terminals to 20 ft-lb (27.1 N·m). Coat ter-
minals with Battery Terminal Protector Spray (CCI P/N 1014305).
• Carryall 272:
16.1. Lower the cargo bed. See WARNING “For vehicles with cargo beds...” on page 10.
• Carryall 472:
16.2. Replace the rear bench seat.
