Air Intake System
DIESEL ENGINE, MUFFLER, FUEL SYSTEM,
AND CLUTCHES
AIR FILTER INTAKE HOSE REMOVAL
The air filter intake hose fits between the driver-side frame and the inlet port on the air filter canister. The frame serves
as a duct to draw air from a location at the top of the front of the vehicle.
See following CAUTION.
CAUTION
• Do not drill holes or attach anything to the driver side of the frame. A penetrating fastener will create
passages that could allow moisture and/or dirt to enter the engine air intake system.
1.
Disconnect battery.
See Disconnecting the Battery – Gasoline/Diesel Vehicles, Section 1, Page 1-3.
2.
Disconnect the air intake hose from under the filter canister.
3.
Disconnect the air intake hose from the frame under the vehicle body.
4.
Slide the air intake hose through the frame support bracket and remove the hose from the vehicle

AIR FILTER INTAKE HOSE INSTALLATION
1.
Slide the air intake hose through the frame support bracket
.
2.
Secure the air intake hose to the air port under the vehicle body
.
3.
Secure the air intake hose under filter canister (inlet) port
.
NOTE:
Ensure the air intake hose is positioned against the port surfaces and the clamps are positioned between
the port bead and port surface.
4.
Connect battery.
