Clutch Inner Cover Installation
1.
Position the inner cover spacer on the engine block using the stud bolts for alignment
.
2.
Align the mounting holes in the inner cover with the transmission and engine bolt holes
3.
Loosely install one bolt and washer in each transmission and engine bolt hole.
4.
Finger-tighten the bolts and washers.
See following NOTE.
NOTE:
Use bolts with lengths appropriate for the hole depths on the engine block.
Mounting holes in the clutch inner cover have close tolerances. Align the engine and transmission carefully to
ensure the mounting holes in the clutch inner cover match the threaded holes in the engine and transmission.
5.
Tighten the engine bolts and washers to 21 ft-lb (28.5 N·m).
6.
Tighten the engine stud bolt nuts to 21 ft-lb (28.5 N·m).
7.
Tighten the transmission bolts and washers to 21 ft-lb (28.5 N·m).
8.
Install the driven clutch.

9.
Install the drive belt.
See Drive Belt Installation on page 16-28.
10. Install the outer cover.
See Clutch Outer Cover Installation on page 16-37.
11. Connect battery.
