3. Replace fuel cap on tank, being sure cap is tightened securely.
4. Replace seat bottom.
For Carryall VI vehicles:
1. Unlatch access door in the cargo bed of the vehicle and open completely before refueling.
2. The fuel tank is located on the passenger side of the vehicle. Remove the fuel tank cap and fill the tank
with fresh unleaded gasoline only.

3. Secure the fuel tank cap on the tank and make sure that it is tight.
4. Close the access door and secure the latches.

The battery in a Carryall gasoline vehicle is a 12-volt, low maintenance battery that requires infrequent
watering
(Figure 23, Page 29)
.
Any corrosion around the positive (+) or negative (-) terminals should be washed off with a solution of baking
soda and water (1 cup per gallon of water), and then the baking soda solution rinsed off the battery. Do not
allow the solution to get into the battery. Be sure terminals are tight. Let the terminals dry and then spray
them with CLUB CAR battery terminal spray (Club Car Part No.1014305).
See following CAUTION.
Be sure battery clamp is properly tightened. Torque to 12 ft.Ib (16.2 N-m). A loose clamp may allow the bat-
tery to become damaged from vibration or jarring.
If battery appears weak, have it charged by a trained mechanic. The battery should never be left discharged
any longer than absolutely necessary (do not leave discharged overnight).

WHENEVER POSSIBLE, AVOID USING OXYGENATED FUELS AND FUELS THAT ARE
BLENDED WITH ALCOHOL. VEHICLES TO BE STORED FOR EXTENDED PERIODS SHOULD BE
PREPARED FOR STORAGE AS INSTRUCTED ON PAGE

OF THIS MANUAL.
• BATTERY - EXPLOSIVE GASES! DO NOT SMOKE! KEEP SPARKS AND FLAMES AWAY FROM
THE AREA OF THE VEHICLE. TOOLS, WIRES, AND METAL OBJECTS CAN CAUSE SPARKS
WHEN SHORTED ACROSS A BATTERY. FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY WHEN
WORKING WITH BATTERIES.
• CHARGE BATTERY IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA ONLY.
• POISON! CONTAINS ACID! CAUSES SEVERE BURNS - AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN, EYES,
OR CLOTHING. ANTIDOTES:
- EXTERNAL: FLUSH WITH WATER FOR 15 MINUTES.
CALL A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY

- INTERNAL: DRINK LARGE QUANTITIES OF MILK OR WATER FOLLOWED WITH MILK OF
MAGNESIA OR VEGETABLE OIL.

• EYES: FLUSH WITH WATER FOR 15 MINUTES.
CALL A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT JUMP START THE VEHICLE. TO CHARGE THE BATTERY, USE AN AUTOMOTIVE-
TYPE 12-VOLT CHARGER RATED AT 10 AMPS OR LESS.
