Inspect the Work Area
1. Before beginning operation, inspect the work area for unsafe conditions.
1.1. Look for sharp drop-offs or rough terrain. Have underground utility lines (gas, water, sewer, irriga-
tion, etc.) located and marked.
1.2. Remove objects or other construction material that could damage the vehicle or cause personal
injury.
Operating with a Full Bucket and Empty Cargo Box
1. Raise the bucket only high enough to avoid obstructions on rough ground.
2. With a loaded bucket and empty cargo box, go up or down the slope with the heavy end toward the top
of the slope

Operating with an Empty Bucket and Loaded Cargo Box
1. Raise the bucket only high enough to avoid obstructions on rough ground.
2. With empty bucket and a loaded cargo box, go down or up the slope with the heavy end toward the top
of the slope
.
Filling and Emptying the Bucket
1. Lower the attachment arm all the way (A) and tilt the bucket forward (D)
until the cutting edge
is on the ground.
2. Drive slowly forward to push the bucket slightly into the material.
