EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM
EMERGENCY BRAKE REMOVAL
1.
Chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2.
Release the emergency brake.
3.
Disconnect emergency brake cables (1) at rear wheels.
3.1.
Remove locknut (2), washers (3), and shoulder bolt (4) securing each cable (1) to brake lever arm
3.2.
Using the brake cable release tool, compress the retaining clips on each end of the cable sheathing to
release cables (1) from bracket (2) on rear axle

4.
Cut all wire ties securing cables to chassis.
5.
Remove the four locknuts (6) and bolts (2 and 4) that secure the emergency brake assembly (1) to the floorboard.
Retain the washers (3) and aluminum spacers (5) for installation
.
6.
Pull the emergency brake (1) and cables as an assembly from the vehicle.
