Adjusting filaments to the right length
– Push by hand on the underside of the filament
spool and pull out both filaments out until they
are somewhat longer than the edge of the pro-
tective hood.
Next time the machine is used, the filaments are
automatically trimmed to the correct length by the fil-
ament knife.
Storing, transport
Storing
– Let the machine cool off before putting it away.
– If possible, store the machine in the horizontal
position. Make sure no fuel can leak from the
carburettor.
– Attach the knife transport guard.
If necessary, remove the shaft tube and hang it up
separately.
– Slip on the covering cap to protect the shaft tube
from dirt.
When taken out of operation
For an extended period of disuse, you must remove
the fuel from the machine. This will prevent the motor
from gumming up.
– Drain the fuel tank.
– Start the motor and keep it running until it stops
of its own accord.
– Let the motor cool down completely.
– Remove the spark plug:
.
– Pour one teaspoon full of clean two-stroke
motor oil into the combustion chamber.
– Slowly pull the starter cord several times to coat
the internal components with the oil.
– Re-install the spark plug.
Store the machine in a dry place and far away from
any ignition sources such as furnaces, gas heaters,
etc.
Transport in a motor vehicle
If you are transporting your machine in a motor vehi-
cle:
– Attach the knife transport guard.
– Let the machine cool down.
– Drain the tank
– Secure the machine against slipping.
