Unless the communications parameters have become corrupted, this mes-
sage is an indication that the LonBuilder or
RTR_CFG.EXE
is configured
incorrectly. If the LonBuilder is generating the message, it most likely
means that the side A and side B channels in the router target hardware
need to be reversed. LonBuilder tries to determine which side (A or B)
corresponds to which Neuron Chip in the RTR-10 module, but sometimes
this fails. The solution is to swap the sides in the target hardware screen
(assign the IP channel to Side B and the standard transceiver type to Side
A). If
RTR_CFG.EXE
is generating the message, it most likely means that
the wrong side was selected to configure. If
RTR_CFG.EXE
is communi-
cating to the ROUTER-LL through the LonTalk side of the router, the far
side should be configured. If
RTR_CFG.EXE
is communicating to the
ROUTER-LL through the IP side of the router, the near side should be
configured. If this is the problem, abort the procedure and repeat using
the correct side.
Define Router Node Specifications
For each ROUTER-LL, define a node specification and Load/Start the
router. The ROUTER-LLs can now be used just like any other router.
