It is a requirement that a means of shutting off the gas
supply to the appliance is provided, so that there is a
means of isolating/disconnecting the appliance in case of
emergency.

NOTE:

Check that an adequate size of gas supply

isolating tap is fitted and working.

The complete installation must be tested for soundness
and purged as described in BS. 6891.

The gas inlet to the fire is 8mm dia compression, and
providing the distance from the gas isolation valve to the
fire does not exceed 1m, 8mm dia rigid or semi-rigid
supply pipe may be used.

Above this length, 15mm dia rigid or semi-rigid pipe
should be used.

A restrictor/pressure elbow is provided in the pack, and
can be fitted as shown in Fig. 15, to allow left hand or
right hand (as shown) inlet connection, or through the
hearth for concealed connections.

A gas isolation valve

must

be fitted adjacent to this

appliance.

WARNING:

Soft soldered joints must not be used as a

means of connection beneath the burner tray.

Test for gas soundness.
