11. USB/Auxiliary/IPOD Input Ports
- Personal
electronic devices can be plugged into these ports.
12. Smartcraft Diagnostic Switch
- Port used by
service technician.
13. Fire Suppression System Monitor
- Monitors
the automatic fire suppression system. Displays
when the system is powered, charged and
discharged. Refer to the fire suppression system
operator’s manual in your owner’s packet for
additional information.
14. Engine ON/OFF Switches
- Each engine has
an ON/OFF key switch. The left switch controls the
port engine and the right switch controls the
starboard engine. Refer to the engine operator’s
manual in your owner’s packet for specific engine
starting and stopping procedures.
15. Stereo Remote Control
- Allows you to control
the audio system from the helm. Refer to the
entertainment system operator’s manual in your
owner’s packet for additional information.
16. Horn Switch
- This switch activates the horn.
Press the switch to activate.
17. Bilge Blower
- The blower should be run for at
least 4 minutes before starting the engine. The
purpose of the blower is to remove explosive fumes
and circulate fresh air into the engine compartment.
Press this switch to manually turn the bilge blower
on or off.
18. Very High Frequency (VHF) Marine Radio
-
Allows communication between boats and between
a boat at sea to public and private shore stations.
Refer to the VHF radio system operator’s manual in
your owner’s packet for additional information.
19. Ignition Safety Switch
Your Cobalt boat is equipped with an ignition safety
switch located on the lower lip of the helm. The
ignition safety switch and lanyard will stop the
engine in case of an emergency. Attach the lanyard
to the boat operator whenever the engine is
running, but be aware there will be a loss of boat
control if the switch is activated. If the operator is
thrown from the seat or moves too far from the
helm, the lanyard will become disconnected from
the ignition safety switch, shutting off the engine.

NOTICE: The HOUSE, PORT and
STARBOARD battery switches
must be turned ON before
starting the engines. These
switches must remain ON during
normal operation.

equipment. Do not allow your boat to be
operated without the proper use of the
ignition safety switch and lanyard.
