HbA1c or Lipid Single Test:  

1. 

Connect the power cable to supply power to the instrument. 

2. 

Turn the instrument on by sliding the on/off button on the right hand side of the instrument.  

3. 

Wait until the instrument warms up and the main menu is displayed. 

4. Select 

Patient Test, 

enter patient ID and then select 

Single Test

Refer to Fig 1

 

5. 

Open HbA1c or Lipid disc pouch to remove disc and open disc completely.  

6. 

Using the single use lancet device, (Accu-Chek

®

 Safe-T-Pro) lance the side of the 

fi

ngertip.  

Wipe away the 

fi

rst drop of blood.

 Obtain

μ

drop of blood for HbA1c or 

19

μ

for Lipids

7. 

With the front of the disc facing upwards, position the disc’s 

suction point 

above the 

drop of blood. Apply blood 

within 15 seconds 

of lancing the 

fi

nger and observe that it 

has 

fi

lled the marked area.

8. 

Check the sample volume: turn the disc on its backside. The area marked in blue has to 
be 

fi

lled completely with blood.

9. 

To close the disk press the hinge cover down 

fi

rmly until two clicks are heard. 

10.  Open the lid by selecting 

Open 

on the screen.

11.  With the disc facing upwards, place it on the spindle within the white circle. 

Refer to Fig 4

 

12.  Close lid. The measurement starts automatically

 

and takes about 5 minutes.

13.  Finish test by selecting 

 on the screen. 

14.  Remove the disc and dispose all used consumables according to your biohazard guidelines. 

15.  Clean the instrument as per the cleaning procedure.
