Checking the oil level/changing the oil
Important:
Always get someone to help you change/check the oil. It will be easier and safer if two
people are involved and can assist each other.
The first oil change should take place after 50 hours of operation and thereafter after every 250 hours of operation.
Checking the oil level
1. Remove the wheeled left support legs and stand
the log splitter on its end as shown in the picture.
3. Unscrew the dipstick and wipe it clean.
Insert the dipstick into the oil cylinder but do not screw it on. Remove the dipstick and check the oil
level. The oil level should be between the two grooves on the dipstick.
4. Screw the dipstick back in again. Do not overtighten the dipstick, doing so could damage the seal.
2. Make sure that the area around the oil dip-
stick is clean and free from dust and debris.
