MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
n
DN inlet port G1 ¼” male ISO 228.
n
DN outlet port G1 ¼” male ISO 228.
n
Frequency inverter for the pumps control.
n
Control and safety system against over-intensities.
n
Control and safety system against dry operation.
n
ART
function (Automatic Reset Test). If the device has been stopped due to the action of the safety system against dry-running, the
ART
tries to
connect the group, with a programmed periodicity because the water supply could have been restored.
n
EW
function ( Emergency Working). When the system detects a serious failure ( over-intensity, excessive temperature, ...) the
EW
function is
activated: excluding the affected pump, activating the FAILURE light, showing the failure type in the LCD screen, recalculating parameters and
permitting to continue operating with the other pump.
n
Automatic restore system after an interruption of power supply. System is activated in
AUTOMATIC
mode keeping the configuration parameters
( see “CONFIGURATION” chapter).
n
Volt-free contact for monitoring the alarms displayed in screen originated by irregularities or problems of the system.
n
Connections for detection of minimum water level in aspiration tank. This system is independent of the safety against dry operation. Is optional.
n
Inside pressure transducer.
n
Control panel (Fig.1)
n
LCD screen, for alarm menu with permanent pressure indication.
n
START/STOP push-button to act by hand each one of the pumps.
n
AUTOMATIC push-button with LED light.
n
Keyboard for the access to programming menu.
n
Digital gauge.
n
APP
function (Adaptability to the peaks of pressure). System of periodic analysis of the elasticity of the hydraulic net, allowing to work the
SPEEDMATIC ALT
with or without expansion tanks and without modifying internal parameters of the device. Nevertheless, is highly recommended
their use, in order of getting a better pressure stability.
n
AIS
function (Anti-ice system). It will detect temperatures under 5 ºC and periodically it will start the circulation of the water in the hydraulic network,
avoiding its freezing.
n
Register of operational controls. Information about: hours of operation, counter of starts, counter of connections to the power supply, percentage of
remaining air inside the expansion tank (real time).
n
Register of alarms. Information about type and number of alarms since the starting up of the device.
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
(Fig. 2)
Before proceeding with hydraulic connection it is essential to install a non-return valve in every pump´s inlet.
The
SPEEDMATIC ALT
must be connected in vertical position (Fig.2), connecting the the inlet port ( G1 ¼” male) to a collector who communicates
the discharge of both pumps and the outlet port (G 1 ¼” male) at the main network.
ELECTRIC CONNECTION
(Fig. 3, 4, 5 and 6)
n
Use cords type H07RN-F with section enough to the power installed.
2
n
Power supply
SPEEDMATIC ALT
: min. 3G1,5 mm .
2
n
Motor connections: S > 1 mm .
n
Check the power supply to be 230 V. Dismount the cover 1 of the electronic circuit and carry out the connections according to the indications
located on the connection strip base
n
Do the power supply connection (being sure there is a good earth connection) to:
230V
230V
. Do the connection by mean of magnetothermic
switch in OFF mode. The earth conductor must be longer than the others. It will be the first one to to be mounted during the assembly and the
last one to to be disconnected during the dismantling.
n
Carry out the pumps connection (see diagrams 3, 5 and 6). For the connection of the device to a single-phase motor it will
NOT
be connected
the gray cable corresponding to “
U
” as indicated in 5b diagram. This cable will be cut until the edge of the hose and isolated with insulating tape
-
IT IS NOT NECESSARY INTERNAL MANIPULATION
.
n
Do the connection of auxiliary devices:
n
Alarm monitoring: the SPEEDMATIC ALT has a volt-free contact with 1 A of maximum intensity for the transmission of diferent types
of signal (optical, acoustics, etc) when detects some failure that previously has been displayed in the LCD screen. For its
connection to see Fig. 4.
n
Min. level control:
there is an input for the stop of all the pumps as soon as is disconnected the external switch of minimum level. See Fig. 4.
WARNING! Wrong connections could spoil the electronic circuit.
STARTUP
n
Be sure that every pump is correctly primed.
n
Connect the
SPEEDMATIC ALT
to the electric supply with the magnetothermic switch, FAILURE led light will bright. Wait for 15 seconds while the
SPEEDMATIC is doing the autotest. Once it finishes, led light FAILURE is OFF and led light LINE is ON. The LCD screen will show message
“SPEEDMATIC ALT ” and inmediately it will appear in the screen the message of language selection of the installation MENU.
CONFIGURATION OF THE MOTOR SUPPLY (single-phase / three-phases):
The device is supplied by default for connection to an three-phase motor. If it must be connected to a single-phase motor the
following steps should be followed:
n
The electrical connection will be done following the indications of the section “ELECTRICAL CONNECTION” for single-phase
motors. (see scheme fig.5).
n
Once the device is connected, we will press simultaneously the pushbuttons,
MENU
+
ENTER
, to enter in the expert menu. In
this menu can be modified variables of the program (integration, acceleration and deceleration) and also to be chosen the type of
supply of the motor. It is not recommended the modification of the variables.
n
Values are changed using
p
q
and pushing
ENTER
to memorize changes. Use
ENTER
3 times to confirm the initial values of
the program variables (integration, acceleration and deceleration) and next, using the pushbuttons
p
q
we will choose single-
phase or three-phase. Push
ENTER
to quit the expert menu. Example:
The manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event of accident or damage due to wrong electric connections
