IR Mode
In the IR Mode the switching on of the BTDataKey occurs by means of the proper
button. To record the data by using this mode the infrared port of the BTData-
Key shall be addressed towards the IR port of the payment system at a distance
included between 20 and 50 cm.
The data baud rate is included between 2400 and 115200 baud.
The Key starts the transmission at 2400 (according to the EVA-DTS protocol) and
then the rate is negotiated between the Key and the System at the highest rate
allowed for both the devices. In the IR mode the System transmits to the BTDa-
taKey all the partial and cumulative accounting data supported by the payment
system in EVA-DTS format.
Attention:
in Coges Engine System the IR port cannot be used when the E.C.S.
Programmer is connected to the J19 connector.
Note:
if within 20 seconds from the start button pressure the BTDataKey does
not receive any BLE connection request, it switches off automatically.
To extract the data in IR mode, follow the procedure reported on the table:

1. Press the start button of the BTDataKey. The Key switches on.
The yellow LED flashes.
2. Connect to the Key via BLE by using the app of the control device.
The LED is fixed blue.
3. Start the IR data recording from the app of the control device. The
LED is fixed yellow.
4. The data have been transferred from the System to the BTData-
Key; now they are transferred to the control device via BLE. The
LED is fixed blue.
