Procedure:
Disassembly
1. Remove the two Flat Head Screws (Fig. 1) that hold the old Seal Adapter Assembly
(Fig. 1) in place on the drive.
2. If necessary, screw the two Hex Head Screws (Fig. 2) from the kit into the two

Alternate turning the screws approximately ½ turn in order to keep the front of the Seal

Seal preparation
1. Slide the new O-Ring (Fig. 3) onto the shaft of the new Seal Adapter Assembly up to
the flange as shown in Fig. 3.
2. Add lubrication from the lubricant tube to the surface of the Elastomeric Seal (Fig. 3)
that is pre-installed into the new Seal Adapter Assembly; cover the portion of the seal
that touches the shaft.
3. Add lubrication to the circumference of the Motor Shaft (Fig. 4) in the region that will be
contacted by the seal.
Re-assembly
1. Install the new Seal Adapter Assembly onto the Motor Shaft and align the holes in the
Seal Adapter Assembly with the threaded holes in the drive.
2. Insert the two Flat Head Screws into the holes in the Seal Adapter Assembly and
thread them into the holes in the drive.
3. Tighten screws with the Phillips screwdriver.
