Tighten lower anchor belt to secure car seat.
Place knee on car seat. While pressing down in center of car seat,
to compress the vehicle seat cushion, pull on free end of the lower
anchor belt to tighten lower anchor belt

. Rocking the car seat
from side to side will assist in getting the LATCH belt tightly adjusted.
Snugly adjust tether strap by pulling on free end.
Check for secure installation. Gripping side of base, pull car seat
front to back and left to right to check for secure installation
(fig. l)

LATCH belt MUST stay tight.
- If LATCH belt does not stay tight or car seat can not be
securely installed, try a different LATCH location or use
the vehicle’s seat belt to secure the car seat.
For rear-facing use, check for proper recline – Reference Line
must be horizontal.
If reference line is not horizontal, loosen LATCH lower
anchor belt, adjust padding per step 6 above, and retighten
LATCH lower anchor belt.

Removal Of Car Seat Installed With LATCH:
Tip tether strap adjuster to loosen tether strap

Depress retainer spring and unhook tether hook from vehicle
tether anchor

Loosen lower anchor belt by tipping adjuster and pulling out lower anchor belt.
- Pressing down in center of car seat to reduce tension on lower anchor belt
will make it easier to loosen lower anchor belt.
Remove hook-on connectors from vehicle lower anchors.
- Press and hold the connector retainer spring .
- Push connector in, then rotate connector , and pull out to unhook
from the vehicle anchor

. If the connector can’t be rotated, push
in and lift the connector to unhook from the vehicle anchor.
- Repeat to remove hook-on connector on opposite side.
Storage Of Lower Anchor Belt And Connectors:
When not using the LATCH System, store the
lower anchor belt and hook-on connectors by
snapping hook-on connectors onto LATCH
connector storage bars on back of base

. Pull on free end of lower anchor belt
to tighten.
If not using top tether, snap tether hook onto
tether storage bar on back of base.
