• Not all vehicle seat belts can be used with this car seat. Read vehicle owner’s manual and
“Vehicle Seat Belts” section in this manual.
• Vehicle seat belt MUST stay tightly adjusted around car seat at all times. If vehicle seat belt
does not stay tight, read the vehicle owner’s manual and “Vehicle Seat Belts” section in
this manual.

Refer to vehicle owner’s manual to identify the seating locations which can be used with a car seat.
Check for specific instructions for car seat use and tether anchor location.
After selecting a seating location, if vehicle seat back is adjustable, adjust seat back into most upright
position.

- Seat MUST be in the forward-facing position when installing
with a vehicle seat belt.
• For rear-facing use, rear-facing recline MUST be
adjusted before securing car seat with vehicle seat belt.
• For forward-facing use, go to step 5.
- To change position of seat from rear-facing to forward-facing,
see “Changing Car Seat Use Position” section.

• Lap belt must be properly routed
under the outer lap belt tabs and
center lap belt tab. Shoulder belt
must be routed through red belt
channel and lock-off.
• DO NOT route vehicle lap belt
through LATCH belt path channel.

Rear-facing recline adjustment:
- For rear-facing use, the car seat must be properly reclined.
Check recline angle of car seat. Rear-facing reference line on
side of seat
MUST
be horizontal

. If reference line is not
horizontal, place recline adjustment pad, tightly rolled up towel,
blanket or firm foam (pool noodle) under end of car seat base

If car seat can not be adjusted to make reference line horizontal:
1. Try a different seating position.
2. Do not use this car seat.
NOTE:
Vehicle must be parked on horizontal surface and child
in car seat when checking angle of car seat.
- For forward-facing, recline adjustment is not required.
Do not use recline adjustment pad or any other padding
under the base. Remove padding if used for rear-facing.
Belt Routing: With seat in forward-facing position,
place vehicle lap belt under the outer lap belt tabs
and center lap belt tab
