9.3. Preparing the unit for maintenance
All necessary safety measures have to be taken to prevent accidents when carrying out the
maintenance. The following preparations have to be made:
Terminate the cooling operation.
Let the unit and its coolant cool down to the ambient temperature.
Switch off the unit.
Disconnect the unit from mains by pulling the mains plug.
Secure the unit against being switched on again.
Verify that the unit is disconnected.
Carry out earthing and short circuiting.
Keep unauthorized persons away from the working area.
Place the unit on a level surface.
9.4. Disconnecting the coolant hoses
The coolant hoses are connected to the unit by means of couplings. Coolant inlet and coolant out-
let are labeled with respective symbols.
