Power cables
The main factors that influence cable selection are the supply voltage, amperage, room
temperature and cable installation conditions.
System power cables must be selected in accordance with the regulations in force at the place
of installation and in accordance with the following description:
The UPS input cables must be sized for the maximum input current and maximum battery
charging current specified in the table below, taking into account the power rating of the UPS
and the AC input voltage.
Output and bypass cables must be sized for the rated output current shown in the table, taking
into account the power rating of the power supply and the AC output voltage.
The battery cables must be selected for the battery discharge current at the end of discharge
voltage given in the table, taking into account the rated power of the PSU.
The terminal block for connecting the power / receiving cables in the 30kVA UPS is located on
the back of the UPS. The strip has M6 bolt and eyelet connections. Cable access is provided on
the bottom of the power supply as shown in Figure 2-7.

Warning
BEFORE WIRING THE POWER SUPPLY, ENSURE THE POSITION AND OPERATION OF THE
EXTERNAL DISCONNECTORS THAT CONNECT THE INPUT / BYPASS POWER SUPPLY WITH THE
POWER DISTRIBUTION PANEL.
VERIFY THAT THE ABOVE POWER SOURCES ARE ELECTRICALLY DISCONNECTED AND
ARRANGE THE NECESSARY WARNING SIGNS TO PREVENT THEIR ACCIDENTAL START-UP SO
THAT THE VOLTAGE WILL NOT APPEAR ON THE CABLE.
2.6.1.
Maximum power supply currents
The currents given in the table below are for the maximum system power, depending on the
system power. The given currents are used to select appropriate protections in the supply,
battery and receiving line as well as appropriate cable cross-sections. Currents given for 230 /
400Vac installations.
