place in uninterrupted mode, which means that from the point of view of the powered
receivers, no power interruption is visible. The restoration of voltage in the utility grid causes
an automatic return to normal operation, without the need for service intervention.
Note: The UPS can also be started from battery in the so-called "Cold start", ie in the absence
of primary power.
3.3.3.
Automatic restart
In the event of long-term power failure, when the batteries are discharged after reaching the
minimum voltage (EOD - End Off Discharge). The UPS inverter is shut down.
The power supply can be configured for automatic restart after the activation delay time after
the power is restored, set by the service technician. The restart mode and any inverter
activation delay can be programmed by the manufacturer's service.
During the programmed delay time of the inverter switching on, the batteries are charged to
ensure protection of the receivers in the event of repeated power failure after the inverter is
switched on.
3.3.4.
Electronic bypass
In the event of an overload of the power supply, overheating or any other cause, e.g. damage
to the inverter in normal operation mode, the supplied receivers are automatically and
uninterruptedly switched to the Bypass.
3.3.5.
Service bypass
The manual service bypass that the UPS is equipped with allows for periodic maintenance work
on the device without de-energizing the loads connected to the UPS. The service bypass can be
activated only when the UPS operates in the electronic bypass mode. Therefore, first put the
UPS into Bypass mode and then turn on the maintenance bypass switch.
Warning
When the UPS is operating in the Maintenance Bypass mode, the power modules and the LCD display are
not working. It should be remembered that there is still dangerous voltage on the terminal strip to which the
power and load are connected.
3.3.6.
Economical (ECO)
In the ECO operation mode, the receivers are powered directly from the network through the
Bypass backup circuit, which increases the efficiency of the power supply and reduces energy
consumption. In ECO mode, the preferred power source is the Bypass path as long as the voltage
and frequency are within acceptable tolerances. If the voltage parameters in the bypass path
are outside the set tolerance range, an automatic switch to power supply from the inverter
output takes place. The switch-over depending on the mains frequency is shorter than 15 ms
for the 50 Hz network and 12.5 ms for the 60 Hz network.
3.3.7.
Frequency converter
In frequency converter mode, the power supply can be used to generate a fixed output
frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. The input frequency tolerance range at which a stable output
frequency can be generated is 40-70 Hz. Bypass is not available in this operating mode. In the
event of a power failure, the UPS generates the set frequency value using the battery voltage.
