In order to start the UPS for normal operation after using the EPO, restore the emergency switch
status to the normal position, apply voltage to the UPS and perform the procedure for starting
the UPS from the complete shutdown state. To do this, return the disconnectors to the OFF
position and follow the closing procedure in section 4.2.1.
4.6.
Procedures for starting the power supply - parallel operation
1.
Make sure all power supply connectors are in the OFF position.
2. Close the bypass feeder breaker and rectifier feeder breaker in turn on each UPS. If the
supply voltage is correct, the rectifiers will be started automatically and the panels will be
turned on. The UPSs operate in bypass mode.
3. If the UPS displays do not show any system malfunction, turn on the battery disconnect
switch located near the battery rack for each UPS in turn. In the case of several battery
strings, it is necessary to switch on the battery disconnector of each string one by one and
finally the disconnector common for all battery strings. The alarm about disconnected
batteries should disappear within 2 minutes.
4. Make sure all UPS output disconnectors are closed. Start the inverter on each of the UPS
sequentially by briefly pressing the two ON buttons simultaneously.
The system is in normal mode.
Shutting down the system or a single unit from the system is the same as for a single UPS. When
one UPS is disconnected, an alarm will occur due to the lack of redundancy in the UPS system.
