Connecting the panel to an Intex pool
If you have an Intex pool you will need the Solar Heating Connection Kit (not included). This connection kit can
be used to connect the solar panel with your Intex pool system. With the help of the Intex adaptor and
stainless-steel clamp from the Solar Heating Connection Kit, attach the provided hose onto the pool filter, then
onto the solar panel (following the regular instructions). The flex hose returning to the pool inlet is the 1½”flex
hose from the Connection Kit. Attach this hose with the other Intex adaptor and stainless-steel clamp to the
pool inlet.
Installation of multiple solar panels
Multiple solar heaters can be installed in series for larger pools and/or for more rapid heating.
Bypass kit
Using a bypass, or dividing valve, could lower the panel’s pressure that could longer the solar panel’s service
life. The bypass will not influence the panel’s working efficient.
We advise you to wrap Teflon tape on the ends of all threaded headers and pipe adaptors.
1. Before the installation please make sure the filter is turned off so no water flows out of the filter when
disconnecting the return hose from the swimming pool return and connecting it to the solar heater.
2. The three-way valve should be installed between the solar panel and the filter, the T-type adaptor
should set between the solar heater and pool.
