4    Installation of the feeder cable

4.1  

Feed the 12/8 tube or cable through the rubber seal. Secure 

the tube with hook and loop fastener and tie-wraps as shown. Feed/
blow the feeder cable through the tube. Remove the outer jacket at 50 
mm from the tube end. Required fiber length inside the box is ± 1.5 m.

5    Splicing and routing

5.1  

1 Route the pigtail to the securing position and remove the  

 

 

  outer jacket. Leave 20 mm of aramid yarn to secure with  

 

 

  hook and loop fastener and tie-wrap.

 

 

2 Entering the box from the side with customer cable. 

 

 

  Follow the routing in case of entering from the left side.

 

 

3 Feeder cable for in-line applications.

5.2  

Splice the fibers, install the RECORDsplice or SMOUV/ANT into 

the splice holder. Insert included in the kit for SMOUV/ANT.

5.3  

Install the cover onto the box with the screw. Possibility to install a 

security label onto the screw.
