Changing the Electrical Downtilt on a Group of
SmartBeam
TM
Antennas
In addition to changing the downtilt of a single antenna, changes may also be applied to a group of
antennas. The list of antennas that make up the group is defined by three configuration parameters
– Sector ID, Minimum Electrical Tilt, and Maximum Electrical Tilt. Only antennas that are identical in
all three parameters are candidates for a given group move.
1. Switch to RET Device view by selecting ‘Show RETs’ from the drop down list below the
Device
Information
list.
2. From
the
Device Information
list, select a device ending in the letter ‘t’ that contains the Sector
ID representing the group to be moved (Figure 17-1).
3. Click
Move Sector
(Figure 17-1).
4. From
the
Set Electrical Tilt for Sector
screen (Figure 17-2), notice that the selected device is
highlighted and displayed in the box labeled
Antennas Included In Move
. This box displays
a list of all devices that will be included in the sector move. Initially, this box contains only the
antenna that was selected from the main screen. All of the current configuration settings for this
device, including its current tilt, are displayed on this screen.
