LP GAS LANTERN OWNERS MANUAL
MANTEL INSTALLATION
Step 1.
With the lantern attached to the LP gas
cylinder, remove the carry handle and top cover and
gently remove the lantern glass and place in a safe
location to avoid this being broken.
Step 2.
Slip the open end of the mantel over the
burner tube and then tighten.
PRE-CONDITION PROCESS
This process is important as it prepares the mantel for
the first time use by converting the cloth fibers to leave a
natural source chemical ash that when heated produces
a bright incandescent light.
You should always light the mantle with a match and let
them burn to ash before lighting the lantern.
DO NOT have the gas turned on for this process as this
can cause a mantle to tear or break.
It is recommended that this process is carried out for
both manual or piezo ignition lanterns.
