Attaching the Cable Management Arm
After installing the extended cable management arm bracket, use the following
procedure to attach the cable management arm.
1.
For easier handling, first slide the server into the rack. Next attach the
cable management arm to the cable management arm bracket. If you
attach the arm before loading the server in the rack, the arm may swing
around and interfere with the loading process.
2.
After you have loaded the server into the rack, align the arm to the
bracket. Attach the back end of the cable management arm to the
server's cable management arm bracket using two M6 x 12mm Phillips
screws.
NOTE:
Install cable management features after the server is mounted into the rack.

3.
Align the other end of the cable management arm on the outside of the
rear frame rail of the rack with the rack. Align the cable management
arm screw-retaining plate on the inside of the rack frame rail. Attach the
cable management arm screw-retaining plate and washer to the rack.
