6-5 CONNECTING OR REPLACING THE BATTERY
If the machine does not hav e
the strength to start, check the battery
v oltage as follows:
1 Ignition switch.
Set the switch in position "off"
2 Screw
3 Battery
4 Battery cover.
Remov e the screw and pull the battery
cap.
5 Negative Terminal ( - ) of the battery
6 PositivaTerminal ( + ) of the battery
7 Voltmeter.
If the battery v oltage is less than
12.4 v olts, recharge the battery as
instructed by the battery charger
To replace the battery do the
following:
D i s c o n n e c t t h e b a t t e r y c a b l e s ,
negative cable first.
8 Battery holder.
Remov e the battery holder.
Install the new battery and secure
with f astener. W hen connecting the
battery, connect the negativ e cable to
the last
reinstall the battery cov er on the
chassis of the machine.
