4.f. Measure the location of the third leg hole as shown below and dig it to the specifications shown.
The third leg has a hole drilled in each end. These ends are interchangeable and it does not matter which
end is the top and which end is the bottom.
Insert one end of the third leg into the third leg sleeve and secure using a ½” x 2 ¾” bolt and secure with
3/8” nylon jam nut. Then insert and secure all set screws on the third leg sleeve.
Insert the 3-1/2” x 3/8” hex bolt into the hole in the bottom of the third leg and loosely attach the 3/8”
nut. (This is to act as an anchor in the concrete.)

Measure 5’6” out from the
ladder and dig the hole for the
third leg 18” wide and 20” deep.
