Revision 4
High Voltage ON Mode
When High Voltage ON is selected, an internal circuit is “latched” on. This enables High
Voltage ON.
Note:
When the High Voltage ON switch is turned on high voltage will be applied to the TWT any time
the FTD cycle is completed and there are no faults present. Interruptions of prime power for any reason
will force the power supply into the FTD mode.
Note:
When high voltage is on (applied to the TWT) RF input signals are amplified. If high voltage is
selected (pending high voltage) before the FTD cycle is complete, high voltage will remain OFF until the
FTD cycle is complete, but will turn on automatically thereafter
.
RF Inhibit Mode
In most cases Xicom XTRT series amplifiers have an internal pre-amplifier (pre-amp). RF
is inhibited by disabling this pre-amp. In cases where there is no pre-amp, the high
voltage will be disabled for RF inhibit. RF can be inhibited from a number of sources
internal and external to the amplifier. RF Enable (converse to inhibit) is indicated by a
green color of the RF button on the
Main Menu Bar
described earlier in this chapter. RF
inhibit via software control is indicated by amber color of this button. When RF is
inhibited from another source, the button will be gray in color. More details on the RF
inhibit source are available on the
Amplifier Tab
described earlier in this chapter.
Sources of the RF inhibit are listed below.
•
RF Inhibit software controlled (internal)
•
External RF Inhibit (AUX interface connector rear panel)
•
W/G switch 1 RF inhibit (external, 1:1 configuration)
•
W/G switch 2 RF inhibit (external. 1:2 configuration)
•
W/G arc fault RF inhibit (internal)
•
Overdrive RF inhibit (internal)
