2.2 Audio Ports
The HE4000 provides four AES/EBU analog ports and one balanced analog audio port.
2.2.1 Analog Audio
The HE4000 has one balanced analog audio port via a DB-9 connector. The HE4000 ship kit
includes a DB9 to XLR cable adapter.

2.2.2 Digital Audio Ports
The HE4000 has the following four digital audio input ports:

AES/EBU Audio Input A.
•
AES/EBU Audio Input B.
•
AES/EBU Audio Input C.
•
AES/EBU Audio Input D.
Each port has a female BNC connector with a 75Ω nominal termination. The ports accept
AES/EBU serial digital input that is compliant with ANSIAES3-1992 (ANSI S4.40-1992)
recommendations. The ports are typically configured for two stereo channels.
2.3 Data Ports
The HE4000 provides two auxiliary data ports. One Synchronous and one Asynchronous.
