HE4000 Encoding System
Introduction
If the internal clock is used to latch the data, the length of cable between
the DTE and the HE4000 must be limited to one meter (3 feet).
Additionally, the auxiliary data rate must be limited to not more than
64 Kbps. If the cable length exceeds one meter, or if it is attempted to
process data at rates above 64 Kbps, the auxiliary data may be corrupted.
2.5 Remote Control Ports
The HE4000 provides for four different monitor and remote controls:
•
Embedded Web Browser via Ethernet.
•
RS232 proprietary command line.
•
Proprietary command line , via Ethernet.
•
Two independent RS232 service ports.
2.5.1 RS-232 Control Ports
The are two RS-232 ports, remote and service, with DB-9 male connectors. The remote port is
configured as a DTE. The service port is a ComtechTV Customer Service port.
2.5.2 Remote Port DTE Configuration
The pinouts for the Remote Port DTE (RS-232) are configured as listed in the following table:
