CA SD ENABLE
Off, On
Off
Enables and disables PGCA at a system level.
Parameters are:
● on – enables PGCA; this setting ensures that
only those ComtechTV decoders listed in the
PGCA database and authorized at an
individual level can receive the broadcast
signals.
● off – disables PGCA, all decoders, whether
authorized or not, can receive the broadcast
signal.
Note: Available for SD optional enabled
encoders.
Note: PGCA is a proprietary conditional access
method used by ComtechTV equipment that
provides basic signal protection and the ability
to authorize individual ComtechTV IRDs. Non-
ComtechTV IRDs cannot be authorized by
PGCA; therefore only authorized ComtechTV
IRDs can decode a service that has been
protected through PGCA.
Note: For additional information on system-
level PGCA, or on adding, deleting and
authorizing individual decoders, refer to the
appendix on Conditional Access.
Note: PGCA cannot be enabled if BISS is
enabled.

CA SD add

<Name>
-
Add a decoder to the SD authorization list
The syntax of this commands is:
CA SD ADD mac name
The 'mac' parameter is the decoder MAC address,
e.g. 00:e0:74:00:10:33
The 'name' parameter can be any string up to 20
characters in length.
Note: This syntax is different from previous earlier
versions (version 2.XX or less) where the syntax is
formed name@mac address.
Note: PGCA also supports the older format of
decoder ID which uses 8 hexidecimal pairs.
Note: Decoders are automatically authorized
when they are added to the list.
Note: Non-ComtechTV IRDs cannot be added to
the
decoder database.
