USER MANUAL
Before first use
Before first use you should wipe the outside and inside of the appliance with a damp cloth for hygiene reasons.
Ventilation mode
The extracted air is discharged through the flexible outlet duct to the ventilation shaft out of the room. If the appliance
is equipped with a carbon filter,
remove it
(see chapter Cleaning and Maintenance).
Caution!
The exhaust pipe is not included in the package.
1. Press the button (3), (4) or (5) to switch the appliance to the desired power level.
2. Press the button (1) to switch the appliance lighting on/off.
3. Press the button (2) to turn the appliance off.
Note:
Any restriction of air flow (e.g. pipes with a smaller diameter, broken or long pipes) reduces the suction power and
increases the noise level of the device and can lead to a shortening of the engine life. The manufacturer accepts no
liability for these problems.
From the point of view of air flow, the use of a circular pipe is more advantageous; in flat (square) piping systems,
turbulence can occur in the corners, which can have a negative effect on suction power and noise. If it is necessary
(from a spatial or aesthetic point of view) to use flat piping, the same cross-section must be observed as for circular
piping, e.g. for a diameter of 125 mm use the system of 204 x 60 mm. Choose the length of the exhaust pipe as short
as possible (max. 5 m), with as few elbows as possible and without sharp bends. Use smooth plastic pipes and elbows
for the construction of the exhaust pipe.
Recirculation mode
If there is no possibility of discharging the extracted air out of the room, you can use the recirculation mode. In this
case, the extracted air is filtered
through the metal fat filters and the carbon filter
An active carbon in this filter
absorbs the smell. Air, free from the smell, flows back into the room through openings situated in the upper chimney
cover. When the recirculation mode is used,
it is necessary to purchase and install
the appropriate carbon filters
(see chapter Cleaning and Maintenance).
Note:
When the recirculation mode is used (carbon filter installed), the extracted air output can drop.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet or switch off the circuit breaker of the appliance before cleaning
and maintenance.
2. To clean the appliance outside, use a damp cloth, a soft brush or a fine sponge, and then wipe it dry.
3. Do not use coarse abrasive cleaning agents or sharp metal scrapers for cleaning of the appliance as this could result
in surface scoring.
4. Do not use steam jets to clean the appliance!
5. Never leave aggressive or acidic substances (lemon juice, vinegar) on enamelled or stainless parts of the appliance.
