Disassembly
Prior to disassembly, disconnect the power cable from wall outlet; follow the reverse steps to remove the individual
parts of the appliance.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Cause, solution
The control does not work,
or does not work properly.
There was a voltage fl uctuation or a short blackout in the mains. Disconnect the power
supply for 10 seconds, then reconnect the appliance. The control electronics will be reset.
Low suction power
Check and clean the metal fi lters, or replace the carbon fi lters.

SERVICING
Bulb replacement
Before the replacement, let the bulb cool down. There is a risk of burning!
For the replacement, proceed as follows:
• Pull the power cord out of the mains outlet or switch off the circuit breaker of
the appliance‘s mains outlet.
• Release and demount the protection glass with a screwdriver (or another fl at
tool), as shown in Fig. 7.
• Replace the bulb for a new one of the same type (Max. 20 W!). Do not touch
the new bulb with bare fi ngers! Use a napkin or a clean cloth to hold it.
• Remount the covering glass.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
• Recycle packaging materials and old appliances rather than throwing them away.
• You can dispose of the appliance packing box at a sorted waste collection point.
• Deliver plastic polyethylene (PE) bags to a waste collection facility for recycling.
Appliance end-of-service-life recycling
The symbol on the appliance or its packing indicates that it is not to be disposed of as household waste. You
have to hand it over at the collection point for recycling electrical and electronic equipment. By the proper
disposal of the appliance, you can help prevent negative eff ects on the environment and human health that
would otherwise result from inappropriate disposal of this appliance. You can learn more about recycling
of this appliance from your local authorities, a household waste disposal service, or in the shop where you
bought this appliance.
