UNIT INSTALLATION
•
Only authorised personnel can install the power connection!
• Only the customer is responsible for installation in situ. Defects caused by incorrect installation are not covered
by the warranty.
• Remove all the covering and marketing materials from the unit before the first use.
• We recommend you to let a specialised company perform the installation.
• The manufacturer bears no responsibility for damage caused to people, animals or objects as a result of incorrect
installation.
Follow the installation instructions:
a) Chimney type (models OPK 4460, OPK 4490)
1. Mark the minimum required assembly height on the wall behind the hotplate (650 mm for electric, and 700 mm
for gas hotplates, Fig. 3).
2. Mark the position of centre of the hotplate by a vertical line.
3. Drill holes, fix wall holder (D) at the required height using the supplied wall plugs (G) and screws (H) (960 mm
for electric and 1010 mm for gas hotplates, Fig. 3).
4. Hang the body of the unit on the holder (K). Set the exact vertical position by screws (J) and (I), Fig. 4.
5. For the airing mode mount the backflow valve on the output hole, and connect the output hole of the fan with
hole the in the wall using flexible pipe. If need be use the adapter (150/120 mm).
Note:
Flexible pipe and diameter adapter are not supplied.
6. Mount both the chimney covers on the body (K and N), shift the upper chimney cover (N) to the required height,
and mark its upper edge on the wall (Fig. 4 and 5. Remove both the chimney covers.
7. Measure and mark a 16 mm distance under the marked maximum height of the upper chimney cover. Drill holes at
this height, and fix the wall holder of the upper chimney cover (E). If necessary use the upper cover (F), Fig. 5.
8. Mount and screw the lower and upper chimney covers.
9. Plug the supply cable in the wall outlet.
b) Carbon filters (must be purchased)
These filters are used only in the re-circulation mode.
The filters contain active carbon that absorbs the ventilated odours. After a while the active carbon is saturated,
and loses its absorption ability. These filters can‘t be washed or otherwise cleaned.
Under normal use the carbon filters should be replaced every 2 months. In case of more frequent frying or deep
frying make the interval shorter.
1. Remove the metallic filters (Fig. 1), and remove carbon filters from them.
2. Mount new carbon filters to the metallic ones (Fig. 2), and put the set back.
