Subtitle Playback functionality
The Conceptronic CM2H can support .SMI, .SRT and .SUB subtitle files for AVI files.
If the subtitle file has the same name as the selected video file (only extension is different) the subtitle
file will be loaded automatically when the MPEG4 file is played, for example:
Movie name:
My_Movie.AVI
Subtitle name:
My_Movie.SRT
When the subtitle file has a different name then you need to select the subtitle file manually. Select the
subtitle file and press the „
Sub-t‟
(
25
) button on the remote control to select the subtitle. Select the
movie and press the „
/Enter
‟ (
26
) button to play the movie.
Note:
If there is a subtitle file available with the same name as the movie, and you try to select another
subtitle file, the CM2H will force the use of the subtitle file with the same name, instead of the
selected.
Tip:
If you have a subtitle file with characters that do not appear correctly on your screen, you can
switch the language support for subtitles in the Setup menu of the CM2H. Select a different
setting at “
Subtitle Language
” in the General Setup Page of the CM2H Setup menu.
Direct access button to your video folder
You can create 1 video folder, which can be directly accessed by pressing the „
Video
‟ (
22
) button on the
remote control. Create a folder called „
VIDEO xx
‟ (Where „
xx
‟ can be changed to whatever you want) on
the root of the hard disk and place your video files in this folder. When the media player is started and you
press the „
Video
‟ (
22
) button, the media player will automatically open the folder.
Note:
If you create more than 1 folder beginning with „
VIDEO
‟, the CM2H will only open the first folder.
Some MPEG2/VOB files contain two or more audio streams. By pressing the „
Audio
‟ (
16
) button on the
remote control, you can cycle between the audio streams. You can use the „
Audio
‟ (
16
) button when the
video file you are playing does not have sound, so you can locate the proper audio stream.
If you switch from MPEG2/VOB file, you can loose the audio if it is not on the default stream. To prevent
this, press the „
Setup
‟ (
2
) button during playback to “lock” the current audio stream. This option will
keep the selected audio stream for all files.
