Setting up a pro
fi
le
1. Turn the pitch gauge on. By default, it will be in measuring mode.
2. Press and hold the “Set” button (10) for approx. 1.5 seconds to enter the pro
fi
le setting mode.
3. Use the “Hold” /
ʆ
button (8) and “Zero” /
ź
button (9) to select one of the pro
fi
le slot between P1 to
P9 (pro
fi
le 1 to pro
fi
le 9). Press the “Set” button (10) to con
fi
rm your selection.
4. Select which mode (from 1 to 3) of that pro
fi
le you would like to edit by using the “Hold” /
ʆ
button (8)
and “Zero” /
ź
button (9). Press the “Set” button (10) to con
fi
rm.
5. Input the desired pitch and / or roll angle(s). You can use either of the below methods to enter the
value(s):
-
The pitch / roll value will
fl
ash, use the “Hold” /
Ÿ
button (8) and “Zero” /
ź
button (9) to increase
/ decrease the value. Press once to increase / decrease the value by 0.1º or press and hold to
increase / decrease the value quickly. Press the “Set” button to con
fi
rm. For mode 3 setting, you
have to set the pitch value
fi
rst, followed by the roll value.
-
The pitch gauge can capture the current pitch and roll angles as the target values. Press and hold
the “Hold” /
Ÿ
button (8) and “Zero” /
ź
button (9) until a “beep” sound is heard. You will hear the
beep sound three times (counting down), then the reference level will be set.
6. After setting, the pitch gauge will return to the measurement mode.
Using the pro
fi
le
1. Press the “Set” button (10) in the measurement mode to switch between the different pro
fi
les. The
pro
fi
le number (1) shows which pro
fi
le you are currently at and the current mode (3) shows the current
mode. The pitch / roll angle (2) will shortly show the target pitch and / or roll value.
2. Stop and wait at the desired pro
fi
le, and measurement will start. The alarm function will alert you when
the pitch and / or roll angle(s) falls in the target range.
10. SETTING THE REFERENCE
The pitch gauge will start at absolute measurement mode, that is to say, it will take the ground level as
the reference zero. The absolute / relative indicator (5) will show ABS in absolute measurement mode.
As different RC helicopters may have different vertical axis, to ensure the measurement is accurate, you
will need to set the main shaft or the motor as the reference horizontal before any measurement. When a
reference level is set, the absolute / relative indicator (5) will show REL.
In spite of the fact that the pitch gauge can be used up-side-down, the pitch gauge orientation
must be consistent throughout the whole measurement procedure. That is to say, if you are
setting the reference with an upside-down pitch gauge, you must make the measurements with
the upside-down orientation to keep them accurate.
