d) Changing the batteries
In case of a battery replacement in one of the units, a new basic resetting must be carried out by all units; see chapter
9. a) or 9. b).
This is necessary as the outdoor sensor transmits, with each startup, a random security code to the
weather station
The security code of the outdoor sensors must be received and memorized within the first 3 minutes
of powering up the weather station as it is only during that time that the latter allows for a registration.
This system prevents the reception of sensors from other weather stations.
When removing the batteries make sure to wait for at least 1 minute before inserting the batteries again
as otherwise this might cause startup and transmission problems.
In order to guarantee a perfect functioning, we recommend changing the batteries of all units once a year.
Batteries which are not completely empty can be used in flashlights, alarm clocks and other devices.
Dispose of the batteries (an also of the rechargeable batteries) in an environmentally friendly way; see
chapter "Disposal".
e) Installation, assembly
There is a hole on the rear side of the weather station for wall mounting as well as two foldable legs for installation
on a table.
Thanks to the special design of the support, the outdoor sensor presents various fastening possibilities (via screw
or cable fastener).
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be mounted/used in a sheltered outdoor area, for example under a roof projection.
Do not expose the outdoor sensor to direct sunlight as this can distort the measuring results.
When drilling or tightening screws, be careful not to damage any power supply lines, gas or
water pipes, as there may be life-threatening danger involved!
Before the final mounting, check the faultless radio reception. Observe a distance to big metal surfaces,
electric and electronic devices.
In case of the installation of the weather station on the surface of an expensive piece of furniture, make
sure to use an appropriate protection as otherwise this may cause dents or scratches.
